Aqua DANONE Water-Week “Start Living Healthy Now” Movement Representative

Well another awesome day just completed, as I have just finished being the representative for AQUA DANONE water-week here in Jakarta, it meant a lot to me that Media Indonesia and AQUA picked me to be there main celebrity guest and spokesperson for the event, "well done" to all the people who took part in the water-week and also to all the dedicated employees, all your hard effort and work provide all of Indonesia with the best quality drinking water with your “Start Living Healthy Now” movement. 

DANONE AQUA’s goal is to provide people across Indonesia a simple, yet meaningful way to demonstrate their commitment to start living healthy. The “Start Living Healthy Now” movement will appeal to individuals as well as families to make healthy living a daily habit by doing simple things. This can be as simple as eating a healthy meal, enjoying an outdoor activity with friends and family or just cleaning up the home and the immediate surroundings of litter. By collaborating with well-know and respected celebrities, DANONE AQUA hopes Indonesians will be inspired to make the commitment to start living healthy.

The “Start Living Healthy Now” movement is part of DANONE AQUA’s long-standing commitment to promote better awareness of health issues and encourage Indonesians to become more healthy through regular community events such as its annual AKSI (AQUA Keluarga Sehat Indonesia) program. Since it was first held in 2007, AKSI has brought the health message to millions of Indonesians across the country. Most recently, DANONE AQUA opened the “Living Water Zone” a permanent exhibit at Taman Pintar in Jogjakarta to promote greater awareness of where good quality drinking water comes from and what Indonesians can do to ensure their drinking water remains clean and healthy.

The Royal Wedding "Live"

Well here it is the 29th of April has finally arrived, with all the anticipation and hype over the last month speculating on all the small, fine details for Prince William and Miss Kate's Royal wedding...."Everything will be revealed shortly"

I am pleased to be literally moments away from doing my part on the live Commentary of the nuptuals over the next three hours, Live from MNC Studios, with my co-host (Chantal). "I will report to you all how the show went in a few hours" 'Wish me luck'....

"Well the Show was a Success and "Thanks to everyone that watched"; it was a long three hours, and I did not manage to squeeze in a Bathroom break at all, so the relief of being able to go to the toilet afterwards was just overwhelming".

Kate and William looked stunning, and I wish them all the best for their future together, may they have many happy years ahead.

Its my Birthday today!

Well today has finally come, the day I have been dreading for the last month, the 14th of APRIL another year added onto my twenties :(


Its always a very odd feeling turning of age, I remember when I was a child I was always desperate to be older quicker so I could have freedom and do as I please, but as the years pass by so quickly I always think to myself how nice it would be to pause time and rewind a few years back. 

“Maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had, and what you've learned from them, and less to do with how many birthdays you've celebrated.”

I've learned some of my hardest and most important life lessons within the last 7 years and when some reporter asked me the other day "if I could change my past would I"? I answered "if it was not for my mistakes in the past, I would not be who I am today,....I also feel as-well that any unresolved differences we may have with some old friends, and family, are better left in the past and better to forgive, as family is number #1.


I have an immense gratitude for a few people on this day, firstly to my almighty GOD, for always being by my side through thick and thin, and also to my most wonderfully supportive parents (Mum and Dad) even though we have always had our quarrels I will always love you both for eternity and I just want to ask for forgiveness on my part for any wrong doing in the past, 


To My Mum: who always shows me the most immense love, compassion and kindness, and despite her very few faults is the Best Mother I could ever have wanted and asked for, "You did Ace my darling clementine, Love you"...


To My Dad you taught me about a mans honour and keeping a promise, honesty, virtue, always try to be as precise as you can in any job on hand, organisational skills, keeping a good faith in the lord God, and in general being there to comfort me when I was sick, or could not sleep "Thanks Dad, Love you so much".


Also to my Aunt Jennifer who has given me some amazing childhood experiences and taught me about manners, respecting elders, nature and the most interesting historical weekends around Scotland over the years "those memories are with me forever" and you really have spoiled me rotten over the years, you have always been my number one aunt and like a second mother to me, you would have made an amazing mother and I'm just lucky to have you in my life"....'The wise owl has spoken'....hehehe 


To my incredible partner Indry, "I love you you more with everyday that passes and don't know where I would be without you"...."Aku cinta mati kamu sayang"....


Also to my Manager, Assistant Manager, Management, assistant, and anyone who is involved in my work and for always believing in my potential, "I thank you guys so much, from the bottom of my heart for making everything I do possible, we still have a long way to go and I know with the right guidance I can be someone that can make us all proud, Johnny, Boy, David, and also to Chitra and the doggies....

With Age comes wisdom and new paths

    Time truly does fly doesn't it!??

The weeks seem to be flying in the last two weeks have been incredible, work-wise I've had a few really good offers for some reality shows for various channels in Indonesia, also it has been confirmed that I will be hosting the Royal Wedding live to the Indonesian public on the 29th of April from the MNC Studios in Jakarta 16:00 (Jakarta Time) and I will be commentating on the live feed as it comes through from the UK, my co presenter is still to be confirmed, so I have been brushing up on all the gossip and news about the to-be newly-weds. "its got me all fascinated now in the history of royal weddings and traditions", thanks to the BBC Knowledge channel on Cable I have been watching some truly amazing documentaries about the royal family in the last century.

Also just been for a return trip to Singapore on the 13th of April, for an interview with Mercedes Benz, as I hope to get a full time position for the company "Just crossing my fingers it all works out as planned"

Back to my entertainment news, I was interviewed with the "Press Association at CHEFS KITCHEN Kemang" about my sponsorship from them for my Birthday party for the 14th of April 2011 and also a little about my wife and how she was progressing with her pregnancy.

Touch of Gold Event

Well its been nearly a full week since my last Blog, I've certainly been a busy little bee, since the last time I blogged, I've had lunch up a Mountain, Seen some Breath-Taking scenery and just recently was invited to an amazing VIP event, and was personally invited by the organizers of the "Marlboro" Touch of Gold event held at the Sampoerna Strategic Square, the event was set in a fabulous white ensemble, set across white and gold themed couches, marble long tables and 3 bars, one serving wines, the other vodka and another with fruit juices and amazing tiny bites.


The event was attended by some of my amazing friends, consisting of Models, entertainment peeps and some aquaintances of mine that go a long way back, so it was really great catching up.

Hello peeps, hope you've all made to the half way mark of the week, its been a crazily busy week for me, been back and forth to the immigration office getting my new passport pictures taken, the process is so long and tedious but thankfully I survived the many long hours lining up with the others of hundreds of people waiting to do just the same thing.

"Indonesia has one of the highest populations ever" and I felt like a tiny little ignored ant at the Immigration office, but when it came my turn, the immigration officials were awesome, friendly and pretty efficient. "So many thanks"

Very excited for this coming Sunday, as I will be the main MC at a charity event for 'TK Mini Carnival', as I will be the guest Star the event....I'm sure your wondering what TK Mini is all about?  Well basically its a charity first set up by a Man called Pak Kasur who changed the Indonesian schooling system with what is now called the TK Mini program which promotes a positive image of fun, happiness and well being at school while using transcripts, photographs, and fun activities for Children to reflect on their assumptions, strategies, and goals of how they wish to tailor there own individual learning experience.

Big Brother mirip dengan tayangan Penghuni Terakhir di ANTV. Tapi yang membuat beda, Big Brother tanpa ada skenario dan rekayasa. Semua yang terjadi, seperti tangisan, pertengkarangan, bahkan cinta terjadi dengan real.

"Aku yakin ini beda dari yang sudah ada. Karena nanti akan ada puluhan kamera yang mengintai kita. Segala aktivitas, diawasi dan bisa dilihat penonton. Peserta juga bakal jadi selebriti, karena setiap hari dilihat orang," sambung Sam.

Sam adalah cowok kelahiran Medan, 14 April 1988. Di Inggris Sam mengikuti Big Brother dan dia sangat terkenal lantaran saat ini Sam menjadi waria. Usai mengikuti acara itu, Sam pun mendadak jadi selebriti dan kerap terlihat jalan bareng Paris Hilton.

New Hangout Alert "LARGO KEMANG"

Afternoon everyone, and "Happy Monday", Monday is always such an odd day for me, sometimes I’d like to be able to say that I’d declared this a mental health day, but the truth is that that’s not the case. I’m meant to work at sending out my CV out to various companies on Monday, however I think that’s just not going to work out. Mondays are hard – I have to do my blog which I've dedicated myself too and prep my whole week out.

I have to deal with the weekend’s mess – it inevitably happens, Monday morning rolls around and I can't get out of bed, for the sheer thought of needing to wrap up some writing that did not quite get finished over the weekend, finish the work for my entertainment work portfolio that I could not do over the weekend because the server froze me out... 


And I'm sure everyone knows how the day goes....Slow, Long and it feels like the clock just stopped!

Moving onto more interesting stuff, I was recently invited to a friends 30th Birthday Party, her name is 'TITI' and she is a local celebrity here in Indonesia, very friendly and has an amazing sense of humor, a little cheeky sometimes, but thats what makes her popular as she is very outspoken but god damn hawt! :p

Today I think has officially been the wettest day for a while, I spent most of the day lounging around at home, some days its nice to just catch up on some sleep and watch a few old movies whilst trying to plan the week ahead

Finally the Reality Show that sits close to my Heart is coming to Indonesia "Big Brother"

Broadcaster Trans TV has commissioned a locally produced series of Big Brother, marking the first Indonesian commission for Endemol’s reality franchise.

PT Televisi Transformasi Indonesia (Trans TV)  will produce the series in-house, due to air on April the 4th 2011 which will make a nice early Birthday present treat for me :)

This is the third deal for the format in the region, after Big Brother made its Asian debut in Thailand. More deals are expected to be announced at a later date.

Wishnutama Kusubandio, president director of Trans TV said in a statement, “Big Brother has a great fan base all over the world and I’m extremely proud to be the first broadcaster to bring the show to Indonesia. This is the ultimate reality format and I truly believe it will be a big hit with viewers all over the country.”

I of course being the first ever Indonesian to ever appear on the Big Brother franchise show back in 2006, would love a chance to be part of the show some how, just crossing my fingers that god opens some doors for me. (winks for Mr. Tama) 

Naturally with all the hype a number of Indonesian media contacted me to arrange an exclusive interview on my thoughts of what I thought about the show, here are my interviews in Indonesian so forgive me if I haven't got the time to translate all of it.

Hal inipun menjadikan Sam Brodie flashback ke waktu di mana dirinya mengikuti program tersebut di negeri Ratu Elizabeth beberapa tahun silam.

“Dulu karakter saya lucu, lebay banget, juga sensitif dan gampang disakiti. Bikin empati ke orang yang nonton,” lanjutnya.

Untuk BIG BROTHER Indonesia yang akan tayang bulan depan di TRANS TV tersebut,Sam Brodie pun menekankan akan tayangan yang sopan dan tidak kebarat-baratan.

“Sensor harus ketat. Kalo di Barat kan lebih bebas, ada ciuman dan bahkan adegan yang mengarah ke seks. Tentunya di sini tayangannya harus bisa menjaga perasaan pemirsa dan juga peserta,” ujar Sam, “Good luck for the show. Saya sih bersyukur banget kalo bisa dilibatkan di program yang membesarkan nama saya,” pungkasnya.   (kpl/ato/bun)

Morning World....I'd like mornings better if they started later!

The average, healthy, well-adjusted adult gets up at seven-thirty in the morning feeling just plain terrible, so you'll know the feeling I have just now. 


Just literally woke up, showered and sitting in front of my laptop, all the commotion in the morning trying to get out of bed is such a pain in the ass....and after getting myself all ready and organised to go get my passport photos done at immigration this morning "my assistant" tells me that my photo will have to be postponed till mid-day!  How frustrating, "welcome to Indonesia and its forever changing of times, they have a name for it here 'Jam Karet' which means rubber time"!


If there is something you must do and you cannot do it, you cannot do anything else.

I have a passion for Travel, for those that have never traveled, I would advise you to grab the chance when you can, it's something that you should not miss out on!

I've had it good, had it bad, and I know what its like to start from nothing time and time again, I was first discovered after many years of performing/singing and acting in Scotland, until I jumped into the deep end of the fame game after taking part in a reality show called "Big Brother", it was a turbulent time for me....but I managed to come out of the whole amazing ordeal unscathed, and luckily by moving back to my home country "Indonesia" I managed to keep my reputation in-tact.

A lot of people ask me "whats it like to be a 'Celebrity'?

Well in my definition: "Celebrity is a funny thing". It enhances some lives and destroys others. Some people are aware of how famous they are while others act like they are just ordinary people. And in truth we are all just human beings like the rest of you. Were just better known, and have better access to nicer more expensive things.

I get to meet a variety of celebrities. I get to meet some who are on their way up, and I get to meet some who are on their way down. I meet some who take themselves very seriously and others who don't seem to have a clue that they are stars. It varies from person to person. "I however go with the flow"....


Okay well I'm signing out now, have an early start tomorrow, going to go get my new Passport photos taken....
